Scientific activities

The Department of International Communication was established on 1 September 2006. Its responsibilities are to manage and organize the (BA) major International Studies and teach required and optional courses both in Hungarian and foreign languages in all faculties of Széchenyi István University. As our research fields and activities are related to themes dealt with in academic courses, our research results are integrated into the teaching materials. We present our research results at national and international conferences regularly and also publish them in internationally acknowledged books and journals. Some teachers at the Department of International Communication are members of the Hungarian Academy Assembly and members of Academy Association for Economic and Corporate Communication, and various other Hungarian and international professional associations. We also contribute to activities of the Doctoral School as consultants, opponents and members of doctoral committees. We are open to the corporate sphere as well, as we are always ready to hold trainings (on interculturalism, communication, presentation techniques and negotiation techniques).
